Biorevitalisation: what it is, who needs it and how often

Biorevitalisation is an injectable treatment in which a hyaluronic acid product, often with amino acids, peptides or vitamins, is placed into the skin. The aim is to hydrate the skin from within and support its own renewal processes.

How it works

With age, sun, stress or illness the skin loses moisture and becomes dull and thinner. Hyaluronic acid binds water, while the added ingredients support the cells that produce collagen and elastin. That is why after a course the skin looks fresher, more even and firmer.

Who it suits

  • dryness, dehydration, a dull complexion;
  • first fine lines and loss of firmness;
  • skin after summer, flights or a sudden change of climate;
  • preparation for other treatments and recovery after them.

How many sessions

Usually a course of 2-4 sessions 2-3 weeks apart, then maintenance every few months. I choose the exact plan at the consultation: it depends on your skin, age and the product.

What happens on the day

First a consultation and a check for contraindications. Then the skin is cleansed, a numbing cream is applied and the product is placed with micro-injections or a cannula. It takes 30-40 minutes. Small bumps settle within 1-2 days; bruising is possible.

Aftercare

  • no make-up for 24 hours;
  • no sauna, pool or intense exercise for 3-5 days;
  • daily sunscreen.

Results are individual. To choose the right product for your skin, book a consultation.
