Fat-dissolving injections: what they can and cannot do

Fat-dissolving injections help reduce small, localised fat deposits. The product is injected straight into the fat layer, where it speeds up the breakdown of fat, which the body then gradually clears.

Which areas

• a double chin and a soft jawline;
• jowls in the lower face - if the cause is fat rather than sagging tissue;
• small stubborn areas on the body: abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, above the knee.

What they cannot do

• replace weight loss - they work on local areas, not on your weight;
• tighten sagging skin - other methods are needed for that;
• remove fat for good if diet and lifestyle stay the same.

The course

I use Better than gym (5 ml). Usually 2-4 sessions 2-4 weeks apart. For a few days after, swelling, redness and tenderness are normal. We assess the result 4-6 weeks after each session.

When it is not done

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, liver or kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, inflammation in the area, allergy to the ingredients. That is why a consultation comes first.
