Polynucleotides (PDRN) vs biorevitalisation: what is the difference

Polynucleotides (PDRN) vs biorevitalisation: what is the difference

Polynucleotides (PN, PDRN) are purified DNA fragments, most often from salmon. In aesthetics they are known as "repairers": rather than only hydrating, they help the skin recover - after stress, inflammation, aggressive treatments and with age.

How they differ from biorevitalisation

  • Biorevitalisation is based on hyaluronic acid: its main job is hydration and glow.
  • Polynucleotides act as building material and a signal for cells: they support repair and skin density and calm inflammation.

They are not rivals: I often combine both in one skin plan.

Who they suit

  • thin, sensitive, reactive skin;
  • skin after sun, peels, laser or microneedling;
  • post-acne marks;
  • fine lines, dullness, loss of density;
  • the eye area - there are dedicated products for it.

Products I use

Plinest Fast, Newest, Rejuran HB and Rejuran S, and for the eye area Rejuran i and Mastelli Plinest Eye. I choose the product after examining your skin: each has its own formula and purpose.

Course and downtime

Usually 2-4 sessions 2-4 weeks apart. Small bumps, mild swelling and bruising may appear and settle within a few days. The effect builds up gradually.
