Blanching for fine lines and neck rings: how it works

Blanching is a technique in which a very soft hyaluronic acid filler is placed superficially, right under a line. As it goes in, the skin briefly turns paler (from the French "blanchir" - to whiten), hence the name. The product lifts the base of the line from within so it becomes less visible.
What blanching treats
- horizontal neck lines ("rings of Venus");
- fine lines around the mouth;
- thin static lines on the cheeks and décolleté;
- residual lines that muscle relaxants do not remove.
Products
This technique needs the softest, most mouldable fillers that do not form lumps under thin skin. I use Belotero Balance, Belotero Soft and Teosyal Redensity 1, choosing by the depth of the line and the area.
The procedure
It takes 30-60 minutes. After a numbing cream, I fill each line drop by drop with a fine needle. Slight unevenness and bruising may appear and settle within a few days. We assess the final result after 2 weeks.
How long it lasts
On average 6-12 months, a little less on the neck where the skin moves constantly. For a longer effect, blanching pairs well with biorevitalisation or collagen stimulation of the neck.
The neck often shows age before the face. If neck lines bother you, book a consultation and I will choose the technique and product.
