Dermapen microneedling: acne scars, pores and texture

Microneedling is a treatment in which a dermapen device makes thousands of micro-punctures with fine needles at a set depth. The skin treats them as a micro-injury and starts repairing itself: it produces new collagen and elastin, renews and smooths out.
What it helps with
- post-acne scars and marks;
- enlarged pores and uneven texture;
- fine lines and loss of firmness;
- a dull tone;
- the scalp - as part of a hair-loss course.
Microneedling with serums
Through the micro-channels the skin absorbs active ingredients better, so during the treatment I apply a serum for your goal: vitamin C for glow, post-acne formulas, peptides, or scalp products for hair. The price depends on the chosen serum.
Recovery
Straight after, the skin is red, like after mild sunburn. Redness fades in 1-3 days, followed by light flaking. During this time: gentle cleansing, moisturiser, sunscreen, no make-up for the first day, no sauna or pool for a few days.
The course
Usually 3-6 sessions 3-4 weeks apart. Collagen forms gradually, so results keep improving for months after the course.
When it is not done
Active acne and inflammation, cold sores in the area, clotting disorders, pregnancy, a fresh tan. I check all of this at the consultation.
Want smoother skin texture? Book a consultation and I will choose the depth and serum.
