Collagen stimulators: Radiesse, Facetem and Juvelook compared

Collagen stimulators are products that do more than fill volume: they switch on your own collagen production. Results build gradually and look natural because it is your own tissue.
Two main types
- Calcium hydroxylapatite - Radiesse and Facetem S. Gives immediate support and a light lift, then stimulates collagen over several months. Good for contour, cheekbones and jawline, and when diluted - for skin quality on the neck and décolleté.
- Poly-L-lactic acid - Juvelook. Almost no immediate volume: the skin thickens gradually over 2-3 months. Suits skin quality on the face, neck and around the eyes.
Who they suit
- loss of firmness and a softening jawline;
- thin, lax skin on the face and neck;
- wanting a refresh without an "overdone" look;
- as a complement to other treatments.
When you see results and how long they last
First changes appear after 4-8 weeks, the full effect after 2-3 months. Duration is individual and depends on age, lifestyle and metabolism - on average a year or more. Sometimes a second session is needed to build the effect.
Important
These products require sound knowledge of anatomy and correct technique. A consultation is essential: I check contraindications, assess your skin and decide with you which product and how much is needed.
